Background:
Chemical Engineer by education, with 40 years experience in industrial chemical production
Gold prospector since about 1985, started looking at chemical leaching of gold by request
Got involved with the creation of a local chapter of Gold Prospectors Association of America in 2000, in a known gold area, and re-established interest in developing an iodine leaching process for gold
Retired in 2009
Became park manager at a historic gold mine park in 2009, teaching beginners how to pan for gold
Cleared the final obstacles such as DEA issues, LLC credentials, business license, raw materials availability, and posted the website in 2014
H. K. Williams (the Basement Chemist) had a lot of good information on this process and I am sure he could have come to the same point as I have, if he just had more time left. He started on a firm basis, but did not develop it into a simple process for the casual user.
